Our Bluebell Room is a warm, nurturing environment for our youngest children, welcoming babies from as young as 6 weeks old until they become confident walkers. Once children gain confidence on their feet, they transition into our Poppy Room to continue their development.

We understand that young children are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. From birth, babies are active learners who seek to make sense of their surroundings. Our dedicated staff support this by providing a wide range of stimulating daily activities and experiences, many of which are sensory-based. These activities encourage children to explore different textures, colours, objects, and sounds, helping to build their understanding of the world.

A strong emphasis is placed on adult-child interaction and the development of early language skills. Staff engage closely with children throughout the day, using everyday moments as opportunities to communicate, model language, and encourage responses, supporting each child’s communication development.

We also recognise the importance of consistency between home and nursery. Our team works closely with parents and carers to follow individual routines, ensuring that each child’s needs are met in a familiar and comforting way. Daily routines include regular feeding or snack times, as well as sleep and rest periods tailored to each child.

To keep families connected and informed, we use the Famly app to provide daily updates. Parents and carers can access information about their child’s routines, including mealtimes, sleep, toileting, and general observations, helping to maintain strong communication between home and the setting.
